Suffering Beings and Demons: Their Hidden Impact and Influence on Humanity - Ashley Brothers
Introduction:
Within the vault of human belief systems and spiritual traditions, the concepts of suffering beings and demons hold a complex and captivating place. This article dives into the nature of suffering beings and demons, distinguishing between them, and elucidating how their presence can reverberate through human existence's mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual realms.
Understanding Suffering Beings and Demons:
Suffering beings and demons are often viewed as manifestations of unresolved traumas, pain, spiritual entanglements, negative energy and emotions, and karmic baggage. They symbolize the internal struggles and external influences that impede one's spiritual growth, mental well-being, and physical health. Interactions with these entities can lead to fear, anxiety, depression, and even physical ailments, highlighting their potent impact on human lives. While these terms are used interchangeably at times, they possess distinct characteristics and origins.
Suffering Beings:
Suffering beings are often thought to be souls or energies that have become trapped in the realm of suffering due to unresolved emotions, traumas, or attachments. They may encompass the spirits of deceased individuals who have not found peace or release after death. Suffering beings are bound by their anguish, repeating patterns of distress and emotional turmoil. They may need healing before they are able to go to realms of light, such as the Destiny of Human Souls or Heaven. Such healing may include extraction of intrusive energies and traumatic imprints, retrieval of lost soul parts, chakra cleanse and illumination, cord cutting, death rites, and so on . . . just like a living person. After such healing, they may be escorted by a shamanic practitioner and or their spirit guides to realms of love and light where they can continue processing and integrating their earthly experiences and moving on to their next adventure.
"Suffering beings" can refer to a broad range of entities or individuals who experience distress, pain, or adversity. This term encompasses not only human beings but also animals, spirits, or even symbolic representations of suffering in various religious or philosophical contexts. The attributes of suffering beings, their origin, their influence on humanity, and the reasons for their existence vary significantly depending on cultural, religious, and philosophical perspectives.
Attributes of Suffering Beings:
Experience of Pain: Suffering beings are characterized by their experience of physical, emotional, or spiritual pain, often resulting from challenging circumstances or conditions.
Desire for Relief: Suffering beings typically seek relief from their distress, yearning for an end to their suffering and the attainment of well-being.
Vulnerability: Suffering beings are often portrayed as vulnerable, susceptible to external factors or forces that contribute to their suffering.
Origin of Suffering Beings: The origins of suffering beings vary across belief systems
Karmic Cycle: In Hinduism and Buddhism, suffering beings are often believed to be trapped in a cycle of birth, death, and rebirth (samsara) due to karma, the accumulation of actions and intentions in past lives.
Divine or Cosmic Plan: In some religious traditions, suffering beings might be considered part of a divine plan or cosmic order that serves a greater purpose, such as testing individuals' faith or facilitating personal growth.
Existential Struggle: In existentialist philosophies, suffering is considered an inherent aspect of the human condition, stemming from the struggle to find meaning in an indifferent universe.
Symptoms of Suffering Beings Attached to a Human:
Draining Energy: Individuals might describe feelings of sudden fatigue, exhaustion, or a constant lack of energy, which they believe could be caused by a negative entity drawing energy from them.
Emotional Imbalance: People might attribute sudden and unexplained shifts in mood, increased anxiety, depression, or emotional instability to an attached entity's influence.
Physical Sensations: Some individuals might claim to feel physical discomfort, pain, or sensations that they associate with an entity's presence, such as tingling, numbness, or pressure.
Disturbed Sleep: Some people might report experiencing nightmares, sleep disturbances, or night terrors that they link to the presence of an attached entity.
Unwanted Thoughts: Individuals might describe intrusive or negative thoughts that they believe are not their own but are being generated by an attached entity.
Personality Changes: People might report sudden changes in their behavior, interests, or personality traits that they attribute to the influence of an attached entity.
Unexplained Phenomena: Some individuals might associate unexplained sounds, sights, or occurrences in their environment with the presence of a negative entity.
Reasons for the Existence of Suffering Beings:
Spiritual Growth: Some belief systems posit that suffering beings provide opportunities for personal and spiritual growth, teaching lessons and encouraging individuals to cultivate virtues like compassion and patience.
Karmic Purification: In Hinduism and Buddhism, suffering beings might undergo cycles of suffering as part of a process of karmic purification, eventually leading to liberation from the cycle of rebirth.
Testing and Redemption: Suffering beings may play a role in testing individuals' faith, resilience, and ability to respond with kindness and love, thereby facilitating spiritual growth and redemption.
Nature of Existence: Philosophical perspectives, such as existentialism, suggest that suffering is inherent in existence and that grappling with suffering is a fundamental aspect of human life.
It's important to approach these reported experiences with caution and seek alternative explanations before attributing them solely to the influence of a suffering being or entity. These experiences could be influenced by various factors, including psychological conditions, physical health issues, stress, trauma, or even cultural beliefs and expectations.
If someone is genuinely concerned about their well-being or believes they are experiencing unusual symptoms, it's recommended to consult with qualified medical professionals, mental health experts, or spiritual advisors who can provide a holistic assessment and guidance tailored to the individual's needs.
Demons:
The concept of demons varies across cultures, religions, and belief systems, leading to a diversity of interpretations and attributes attributed to them. In many Western religious traditions, demons are often associated with malevolent supernatural beings that oppose the divine or seek to harm humanity. However, different belief systems may have distinct understandings of demons and their attributes. It's important to approach this topic with sensitivity and respect for different perspectives.
Attributes of Demons:
Malevolent Nature: Demons are generally characterized by their malevolent intent and actions. They are believed to be hostile and harmful to humans and are often associated with evil or negative forces.
Spiritual Entities: Demons are often considered spiritual entities, existing in a realm beyond the physical world. They are thought to possess supernatural abilities that allow them to influence human affairs.
Deceptive Appearance: Demons may have the ability to appear in various forms, often disguising themselves to deceive and manipulate humans.
Fallen or Rebellious Beings: In some belief systems, demons are thought to be fallen angels who rebelled against a higher power, leading to their expulsion from divine grace.

The origin of demons varies depending on cultural and religious beliefs:
Abrahamic Religions: In Christianity, Islam, and Judaism, demons are often seen as fallen angels who followed Lucifer (or Satan) in his rebellion against God.
Mythology and Folklore: In various mythologies and folklore, demons can be traced back to stories and narratives that explain their existence through conflicts between divine and chaotic forces.
Influence on Humanity: Beliefs about how demons influence humanity also differ
Temptation and Corruption: Many belief systems portray demons as tempters who entice humans to engage in sinful or harmful behaviors, leading them away from a righteous path.
Possession and Control: Some traditions suggest that demons can possess individuals, taking control of their thoughts, actions, and even their bodies.
Spiritual Warfare: Certain belief systems emphasize the idea of spiritual warfare, where demons work to undermine human spirituality and faith.
Reasons for Influencing Humanity:
Spiritual Battle: In some belief systems, demons are seen as part of a cosmic spiritual battle between good and evil, where they attempt to thwart the divine plan and lead humanity astray.
Punishment or Testing: In certain traditions, demons might be viewed as instruments of divine punishment or as entities that test individuals' faith and resolve.
Disruption of Divine Order: Demons might be thought to seek to disrupt the natural order established by the divine, sowing chaos and discord among humans.

Different belief systems offer distinct perspectives on the nature, origin, and influence of demons. If you're interested in learning more about demons from a particular belief system, it's recommended to refer to authoritative sources and engage with open-mindedness and respect for differing viewpoints.
It is here that I will point out the Demons are not nearly as common as suffering beings and most entities attached to humans are of a lesser nature unless directly summoned. In the 19.5 years I’ve been doing shamanic healing work, I have only encountered true demonic possession a handful of times. The rest were simply suffering beings that have become lost and needed significant help and healing despite how nasty they may have seemed. Those that did have true demonic possession were summoned by the possessed individual through some sort of Satanic ritual with the intention to harness cheap power and protection in moments of curiosity, trauma, or ego.
That being said, the presence of suffering beings and demons in human belief systems and spiritual narratives underscores the intricate interplay between light and darkness, good and evil. Understanding the differences between these entities and recognizing their potential impact on the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual realms empowers individuals to seek avenues of healing and liberation. Addressing these influences through spiritual practices, energy work, or psychological approaches enables individuals to reclaim their well-being and forge a path toward inner peace and wholeness.
